Venkat bhawan palace
Venkat Bhawan Palace is a historic architectural landmark and tourist attraction in Rewa. It was commissioned by Maharaja Venkatraman Singh and completed in 1907, originally built to provide employment during a famine. The palace showcases unique Saracenic-style architecture and features elaborate carvings—especially of Lord Shiva and Parvati—twelve outer doors for ventilation, decorated halls, a fountain, and a historic tunnel reportedly used by royalty to reach nearby Rewa Fort. “Venkat Bhavan” today stands as a well-maintained heritage structure reflecting the region’s royal past and is often visited as a museum-like site.
