About Us
Rewa is a historic city located in the northeastern part of Madhya Pradesh, India, in the Vindhya region. It is known for its rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and natural beauty. Rewa was once the capital of the former Vindhya Pradesh state and earlier served as the capital of the Baghel dynasty kingdom. The city is also famous as the “Land of White Tigers,” as the first white tiger was discovered in the nearby forests of Govindgarh in 1951. The region is irrigated by rivers like the Tons and is surrounded by forest areas and fertile agricultural land, where paddy is a major crop. Rewa has played an important role historically as a trade route connecting northern and central India and continues to be an important administrative, cultural, and economic center in the Vindhya region. Rewa is also an important educational and cultural hub in the Vindhya region, with universities, industries, and growing infrastructure supporting regional development.
